Proposal & Report Design

Proposals

Proposals are typically muti-paged documents intended to persuade a company who put out a request for proposal (RFP) to select another company to do some work for them. I have worked at several engineering firms over the years and have been involved with many, many proposals, not so much on the strategizing and pulling together the content, but taking the provided content and designing it in such a way that puts the proposing firm's best foot forward in trying to convince the issuer of the RFP that they are the best option.  A good proposal design has a coherent look throughout, and not some pieced together Frankenstein document that looks like several people put it together.  Establishing a consistent, unified format helps create confidence in the reviewer that the proposing firm is well organized and cares about doing high quality work. Below are several samples of some of the more successful proposals I have worked on over the last 25 years.
