Infographics

Infographics are conceptual illustrations/graphics that communicate to a viewer about an idea or process. They are less about eliciting an emotion or swaying opinions as they are about educating. The power of infographics is that they are more engaging than a "word wall" description. People find it easier to learn and retain information from strategically drawn images than they do from a bunch of boring text. My degree from K.U. was in "Visual Communication" and infographics are about as close to that definition as you can get!
