Video/Audio-Editing

Fun, Creative Personal Projects

The last class I took (back in 1999) before graduating from the University of Kansas (in January of 2001) was a video-editing class. I immediately fell in love with it, and continued learning more and more over the years, eventually learning the basics of Adobe Premiere, and venturing into one of my favorite areas of video-editing, using a green screen to create fictitious background and playing multiple characters on the same screen. I am a musician and a closet standup comedian, and I love to entertain people, so this has been a great outlet for those unmet dreams (as of yet).

While I've never held an "official" job as a video-editor (though I've done a lot of video-editing for clients and past jobs as a small part of my role as a graphic artist), my passionate interest in making my crazy ideas come to life is what has been the engine fueling my desire to learn so much about video-editing. Truthfully, of the five area of experience that I have as a graphic artist, it is the one I would be the most excited about if I found myself with an opportunity to work as a full-time professional video-editor. Maybe someday. But in the meantime, I continue learning and having loads of fun making creative videos to entertain my family and friends. The samples above are some of my favorites.
